A little bit of my passion, crafting for charity, and just some of this and sometimes that.

Moving Right Along Toe UP
This is hubby's sock that I am working on......Oh I love the toe up. Need to get the heel more to my liking though
Ok I have finished one and started the 2nd... Got to learn how to do 2 socks ML. See mom, I told you that I could do socks with one needle.
I am so sorry that my close up is blurry. Must also learn to take pictures. In my opinion (even though you may not be able to see it) is the perfect toe. This alone will cause me to make socks this way. It is Judy Becker's toe, and sooo easy.
You sock knitters really need to try this one.
Oh BTW Hubby loves these and they are knit with woolease. We will see how they hold up.

Found a Pattern
I found what I was looking for..........A toe up recipe so to speak. These socks are for my dear hubby. They are being made in Wool Ease as you can see. They are toe up on one needle. (Magic Loop method.) See Mom I can do socks with one needle. This is where I found the recipe, so to speak...............
I also found a cast on that is perfect. The magic cast on by Judy Brecker and it is just perfect.
The socks started out really nice and I am hoping that I can add a post with a perfect sock with no holes.............Anxious to start the heel. So back to knitting I go.

Dish/wash cloths
This was done on the dishcloth loom. I was just playing around. The loom gives my fingers a bit of a break. I like how it turned out.
This is one of my made up patterns. Just a little stripping with the purl stitch. I like this one too. All I have been doing lately is knitting. Crochet is on the back burner.
Christmas Ornament
Just Me Being Silly
This is an easy K2 P2 hat done with the magic loop method of knitting with one circular needle. I have come to love this method so much that you can see on my blog that I am making socks this way.
I am a happy camper, can't ya' tell?
I may have posted this picture before. It is the One Row Scarf pattern done by the Yarn Harlot, Stephanie Pearl McPhee.
I love this pattern and have 2 of them and will definitely make some more.

Completed Booga Bag
I finally got my bag felted. It took about 5 washings. Did 3 with jeans and my bag in a pillow case and it didn't seem to want to do much felting so I put it in a mesh bag and washed twice with towels.......That worked much better. My bag is small but I am really proud of it. This is my first time using Noro Kureyon and felting. This is marvelous yarn to work with...I may have to try my hand at something else.

Newest Project UFO
I am a new member of Ravelry and there is a whole bunch there. I was doing some browsing and came across one of my favorite people. The Yarn Harlot. Yep Stephanie Pearl McPhee. She had this very simple pattern called One Row Scarf. There is only one row to remember and it is reverseable. I don't know if it is OK to post the 1 row so I won't. But you may be able to google it. I am doing this with MicoSpun and probably will use 2 balls. This will be the last time I do anything with MicroSpun. Even though it is super soft, it splits terribly. This scarf is done on size 7 needles. As you can see I am using my KP options with the harmony tip. Just love those harmony needles.
Sherlock Holmes Hat
I thought this was a really cute hat. I found the pattern on Annie's Attic POD.
I won't do this one again because there are a lot of cut and joins. I prefer to basically do a project in one piece.
It turned out ok. My ear flaps aren't exactly equal but it will serve its purpose. It is made with WW and calls for a G hook. I made mine with an F hook.
Noro and Booga
This is my first time using Noro Yarn. Noro Kureyon to be exact. I really like working with it . I used it to make a Booga Bag. The pattern and yarn can be found at blacksheep.com.
Ok, here is the bag before felting. I did the wash in hot water about 4 times and didn't think it was enough, so tomorrow I will wash it some more. I hope to post the finish project soon.

Love making those socks
Bought on eBay, this is the yarn I used for my latest pair of socks. It is Tiny Toes and very soft.
The next pair for me will be patterned. The stockinette just doesn't show the beauty of these colors. I am still in the learning process and these don't fit as tight as I would like them. On to another pair for hubby.

Cone Holders
My Harmony DPs
I just love my new harmony dps from Knit Picks. As you can see 5 of them are missing. Well that is because they are on a pair of BBS...Big black socks.
These are the nicest needles I have used. I have ordered a second set.
If you have thought about these and can't make up your mind, I for one don't think you will be disappointed. The bonus with these is that my hands do not tire nearly as much as with metal needles. Yep I love them..............A very satisfied Knit Picks customer.

Hubby's Socks Finished
I have finally finished them...I think I need to keep track of how much time it takes me to knit a pair of socks................I like doing them together on 2 sets of dp's. I still am able to finish them together....
Have you seen KP's new Harmony needles...........Well I just had to order a set of small dp's and then I will turn around and get the 2nd set. I will be sure to post a picture when they get here.
Next pic will be Jerry with his new socks on his feet. I am very pleased with how well they fit.

Socks for Hubby
As you can see I have been busy. I love making socks and I am really getting a little better at doing it. These are being done in KnitPicks Telemark 100% peruvian wool. They are hand washable but I love the feel.
I have also just joined Socks for Soldiers and am looking forward to this new endevour. Socks are a perfect projects for the hot south and it has been terribly hot here lately. I hope it soon passes.
A Little of This and That
Hey y'all. I have been playing around with some squares.........These are mitered squares and I am going to pile them up and then try to join them into a ghan. Not sure yet where it will go. I have also been making some cloths because I have gotten behind in them.
It has been so hot here that the ghans for the troops have been on hold. I really want to get the pile I have finished.

I have finally finished the little socks promised to a friend........I forgot to take a picture of the pink ones that I made first and they are on the baby's feet..........so before I sent this pair I took a pic...........Must remember the camera when I finish something..........Anyway they are done and I am now working on a pair for hubby. Yep I will post them when completed. Sure wish the fingers wouldn't cramp when I knit.

Love Making Socks
I think it is about time that I post to my blog especially since I have another pair to show off. The yarn for this pair came from eBay and I have no idea what it is. Forgot to write it down. I know it is washable wool and my gauge was 6 spi with 3.75 mm Knit Pick dp's.
I washed them and they are really scatchy. I really hope that I will be able to wear them.....I love the way they turned out. These socks will really be warm.

Lastest Pair
I am really surprised that I can make socks. I never imagined using 4 or even 5 needles at once. Granted it is easier using 2 circular needles or also 1 long circular needle but for some reason I really like using double points. I love my KnitPick needles. The yarn slides so nice on them without falling off. This is my lastest pair of socks and I am impressed with how they look on even though I am still having a bit of trouble with a hole on one side of the gusset and the kitchner stitch. Oh the stitch is easy enough but I alway loose my place. Well that part is in the shoe anyway...........But I am really looking forward to making a pair without mistakes. I want to thank Stepanie Pearl McPhee for her book Knitting Rules...........This is the only knitting book that I have that I want to read cover to cover and in it she has the easiest receipe for socks....Thank you Yarn Harlot.
These socks are made with Knit Picks Essentials in Petunia with size 3.25 mm dp's...........with the baby cable pattern

Ooops
Sometimes we buy something that just doesn't work for us. That is the case with these 16 inch size 6 and size 8 circs........They are too short for my hands. The cost was $5.95 each plus tax.........So if anyone would like to have them I will let them go for $8.00 for both or $5.00 if you only want one plus free shipping to anywhere in the United States........This purchase was an ooops for me and I hate to see needles not get used.
You can send me your contact info at pinkangel_lmc@yahoo.com
These needles would like to find a happy home.

Scarf for a soldier in Iraq
Our Shirts are Almost Done
Hey all, We are in the process of having our logo on our shirts.......I have been blessed by having a friend who does this professionally. Eleven of our members will proudly wear them
This is the logo as it will appear on the shirt. I am sorry but when I tried to make it bigger all it did was blur. Can't you tell that I am not a photographer. This will be put on women's polo shirts with our name on the right side if they elect to do that. We are really anxious to receive them..........A big thank you to B & J Custom Embroidery for doing such a fine job.

We are getting ready
We have been talking about traveling when we both retire. Well first it was sell the house and live in a big camper. Then it was keep the house. I am happy to say that we are on our way to our retirement dream. No we are not selling our house. The first step of course is a truck to pull a camper. Well, that step is realized. We just got a 2007 Nissan Titan. It is plenty big enough to pull a camper. And yep, since I traded my car in, it is mine to drive. You should see me trying to park it. Oh I am fine at walmart. But it is hard to get in a parking spot anywhere else. It drives like a car. I just have to get used to parking. It won't take any time at all to really get the hang of it. In a year or 2 we will start looking for the camper. We want one that is about 26 feet long with a big back window. I have already seen the floor plan and it is perfect. So we are one step closer to our dream.
