My Pinky Protector


Believe it or not........this inexpensive little item works pretty good. I just rub some on the area of my pinky that the yarn irritates and wa la ...protection. Pretty neat huh??

Pinky Protector


Now what in the world would I want with a piece of rubber hose.

Well, I am a KNITTER. And when I knit my tensioned yarn is around my pinky no matter how I try to wrap. I have been getting a groove in that little pinky. So DH and I are going to try to make a pinky protector.

The inside of the hose is circumference in 5/8 inches and it fits my pinky quite comfortably. The outside circumference of my pinky is 7/8 inches.


Will continue to post the progress as it is done. DH has some ideas. I hope they work.
Update: Nah.......this won't work either. Now the right tools and then hose isn't as comfortable as I thought it would be.

Doesn't Help the Pinky


I have been looking for something to put around the bottom of my pinky so my yarn doesn't put a groove in my skin. This was suggested but as you can see, it doesn't quite do the job. So I continue in my quest.

My Newest Project


Kelly's sweater.......This is a very easy pattern. This set is going to Southside Hospital........ NY.........I am making more and using Bernat baby jacquards............It is a wonderful yarn for babies............Hope to be able to place more Pictures here soon.


Yes it has been quite awhile since I posted....

We are now retired and living in AL.........I love having the time to craft...........but the major thing on my list is to lose weight and I am on my way to doing that. I use the treadmill 5 days a week and have changed my diet..............No I am not dieting......just changing my lifestyle to include exercise and healthy eating.........
