I wish I could remember what size needle I used for her........She was knit with Lion Brand Cotton-Ease.
A little bit of my passion, crafting for charity, and just some of this and sometimes that.

Sassy Bear
Sassy makes 15 bears I have made for our Local Nursing home...
This one was fast....Front and back each knit in one piece then sewed up.......Sassy was made with size 10 1/2 needles and Lion Brand wool-ease thick and quick that was donated for my bear project........I have enough to do another one just like it....It takes almost a full skein.......about 114 grams

Buddy Bear and Lester
Now aren't these guys cute? Buddy (yellow) gave me a bit of a fit. Don't really know why other than I am not used to making these bears in the round......Said I wouldn't make another one but I think I will. These guys will be going to our Local Nursing Home

The Bears Were a Big Hit
Today was my first delivery of many at the Wiregrass Rehabilitation Center and Nursing Home
I was warmly met by their activities director Ms Brenda Whittle....She is a wonderful women with a great big heart.
Here are two recipients of a shawl and a wheelchair tote.....They were thrilled...The lovely lady who got the lapghan fell asleep and we didn't want to wake her for a photo.
And cuddly bears with their new owners.....You can see all the beautiful smiles...I am sure these ladies will enjoy their cuddly bears..
And last but not least is our resident crochet lady Ms Dot, we will soon be starting a crochet and maybe a knit circle........
Ms Dot is anxious to get her supplies ready and start 'hookin' again....A lot of fun in the future.
If you would like to help with this ministry bears are always welcome plus lap robes mostly for the men.

Bear #4
I have received and some is in the mail donations of homespun and cotton ease yarn for my bears. I think I will be making mostly little bears for the nursing home here in Geneva Alabama.....The hardest part of this one for me was the muzzle......I think the eyes are perfect. So far this in the only bear that I have used these eyes with....You can find the pattern here if you would like to help.
